Hurkacz digging deep

Hubert Hurkacz and Roberto Bautista Agut will presumably break into the ABN AMRO Open jubilee edition’s book of statistics. They battled on Rotterdam Ahoy’s Centre Court for precisely 3 hours (give or take thirteen seconds). Polish player Hurkacz, fifth-seed of the tournament and currently world number 10 showed great  resilience after losing the second set. He captured his first round : 7-5, 6-7 (7), 7-6(4). For Bautista Agut, the loss was bitter but the 34-year Spaniard certainly did not go down without a fight.
