Players list complete

07 January 2025

Two more former champions have been added to the field of players of the ABN AMRO Open. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Stan Wawrinka are returning to Rotterdam Ahoy.

During the media presentation of the 52nd ABN AMRO Open, the complete field of participants was revealed. In addition to the players already announced, tournament director Richard Krajicek had a number of nice additions for the assembled media. Among others, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Stan Wawrinka, winners of the ABN AMRO Open in 2022 and 2015, are back in the game.

Wildcards
Stan Wawrinka receives a wildcard from Krajicek, as do Botic van de Zandschulp and Mees Röttgering. "We always want to have at least two Dutch players in the main tournament. With Tallon Griekspoor and Botic, the two best Dutch players at the moment, we fill that in. Mees Röttgering actually falls into a different category for me, reasoning from our wildcard policy. We often give a wildcard to an international top talent. Think of players like Tsitsipas, Auger-Aliassime, Sinner, Dimitrov and Federer, who we let participate at a young age as youth talent. Mees is currently the number one in the world among the juniors, reason enough to let him debut as a top talent.”

Six top-10 players
With Jannik Sinner (1), Carlos Alcaraz (3), Daniil Medvedev (5), Alex de Minaur (8), Andrey Rublev (9) and Grigor Dimitrov (10), no fewer than six players from the global top-10 have registered. But the rest of the field is also extremely strong. Top talents such as Arthur Fils, Holger Rune and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard are coming to Rotterdam.
