The winner of the ABN AMRO Open, Daniil Medvedev, will return to Rotterdam in 2024. His title earlier this year was the start of an extensive winning streak for the world number two. Besides Rotterdam, he also won titles in Doha, Dubai, Miami and Rome. The 51st ABN AMRO Open will be held in Rotterdam Ahoy from February 10 to 18, 2024.

Tournament director Richard Krajicek: "We really wanted to have the champion of the last edition, and we are very happy that we succeeded, especially considering his winning streak after Rotterdam. He is playing incredibly strong. Daniil Medvedev also loves the Netherlands and is eager to defend his title."

Rock solid year

Daniil Medvedev is having a rock solid year. The counter already stands at five titles, an improvement on his record in 2019 and 2021. With the season halfway over, expectations are justified that this could be by far his best year ever. It took him to the second place in the ATP Ranking.

"He was already called the 'King of Hardcourt,' but also on clay court he showed in Rome that he belongs to the absolute world top. For me, he is also definitely one of the favorites for Roland Garros. It would not surprise me if he is No. 1 in the world again later this year," said Richard Krajicek.

Player field

The player field will be supplemented in the coming months. The goal is to bring several top players to Rotterdam, just like during the successful anniversary edition in February. Richard Krajicek: "The past edition proved that our approach works. The tennis was of an incredibly high level. The fans were able to see an appealing top player in action every day in every session. That is again the goal for next year."
